Support the Tiwafikile Foundation's mission in Malawi. Every gift matters.
Founded in 2022 by Josephy Joshua and Amon Banda, the Tiwafikile Foundation was born from a deep-seated desire to address the pressing social and economic challenges facing vulnerable communities in Malawi. What began as a small-scale effort to support the elderly and orphaned children in Mulanje district has quickly grown into a dynamic organization making a tangible impact across the nation.
Our journey has been one of rapid growth, driven by our responsiveness to the needs of the communities we serve and our unwavering commitment to creating a more just and equitable society. In our first year, we earned recognition from the Government of Malawi and the NGO Board for our commitment to social welfare. In 2023, we were honoured to secure funding from the United Nations, enabling us to expand our programs and reach even more communities in need.
We envision a future where every community in Malawi is socially and economically empowered, and where equality, social justice, and human rights are a reality for all. We see a Malawi where the elderly live with dignity, every child has access to quality education, and communities have the resources they need to thrive.
To contribute to Malawi's growth and development by building the resilience of vulnerable communities through innovative charity programs and the application of research-based solutions. We are committed to aligning our work with Malawi's national development strategies to create a sustainable and prosperous future.
Our team is a dedicated group of professionals who are passionate about making a difference. Led by our founders, we bring a wealth of experience and a shared commitment to our work.
